Kim Thi Thai, Age 72 years, 7 months, and 5 days, of Hondo, Texas, died on Saturday, November 13, 2004. She was born in Vietnam on April 8, 1932, the daughter of Thanh Que Thai & Lien Ma. She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant children. Kim Thi is survived by her husband Kim Tran of Hondo, sons: Ty Tran of Vietnam, Ty Van Tran and wife Hanh My Lam of Vietnam; daughter Hue Thi Tran of Vietnam; sons Quen Van Tran and wife Phuong Diep of Hondo, Em Ty Tran of Vietnam, Tai Hong Tran and wife Anh Phuong Doan of Vietnam; daughters Chan Ngoc Tran of Vietnam, Lien Ngoc Tran and husband Quan Thanh Le of Vietnam; nieces Diep Ngoc Ha of California, Chau Ngoc Ha of Oregon, Huong Ngoc Ha of Oregon; grandchildren Hoa Yen Tran, Linh Yen tran, Nhi Yen Tran, Tuong Tuan Tran all of Vietnam, Jenny Nuong Tran, Jammy Quyen Tran both of Hondo, Vi Quoc Tran, Dai Quoc Tran, Nhan Thanh Le all of Vietnam, Elane Quach, Tong Quach, Linh Quach, Tai Quach, Melody Quach all of California. Monks from the Chua Bao Quanh Temple in San Antonio led prayers Thursday and Friday afternoons. The Visitation was from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Friday, November 19 at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. Pastor Charles Schlentz led prayers at 9:00 am Saturday, November 20, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, with a procession that departed the funeral home at 10:00 am and went by her residence on 20th street and the Golden Dragon restaurant and arrived at the Hondo Cemetery at 10:30 am. The burial was at 11:00 am at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
