Laura Ann "Lobby" Muennink Landers, age 79, of Hondo passed away Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008. She was born Aug. 4, 1928, in Hondo at the home of her parents, Willie George and Mary (Whaley) Muennink. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Owen "Jack" Landers; brothers, Kyle, Jack H. and George W. Muennink; and sister, Susie Adams. Lobby is survived by her daughter, Georgia Ruth (Landers) Linnartz and her husband Lawrence Linnartz; son, Kyle Blagg Landers; granddaughter, Chelyne Leifeste and husband James Leifeste; along with numerous cousins and friends. Lobby loved being with her family and friends. Her laughter warmed your heart and you always felt better after spending time with her. She felt her calling in life was to spread God's love through her greeting cards. Her life made the world a better place. We rejoice at her going home and will miss her very much. Memorial service was held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 20, at First United Methodist Church, Hondo, with Rev. Andy Tyson officiating. A private graveside service was held at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
