Laura (Moss) Steubing of Dunlay passed away Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, in San Antonio at the age of 59, after a brief illness. She was born Dec. 30, 1950, in San Antonio to Samuel D. and Sarah C. Moss, and was a life-long resident of Medina County. She is preceded in death by her father, Samuel D. Moss. A loving wife, daughter, sister, mother and grandmother, her memory lives on with her husband of 40 years, Floyd Steubing; daughters, Rachel (Justin) Cain of Helotes and Ruth (Joe Frank) Garcia of Altus, OK; and son, Anthony (Tara) Steubing of Katy; grandchildren, Joey and Kelly Garcia, Julia Steubing, and Emaleen, Jessica and James Cain; mother Sarah C. Moss; sister, Linda (Keith) Donnelly of Ovid, NY; and brother, Samuel C. "Cam" Moss of Hondo. Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Nov. 24, at Guinn-Horger Chapel, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. The family suggests memorials may be made to the charity of your choice.
