Lenora Martha Koenig Stein-Mumme, 97, passed away Feb. 24, 2011. She was born Oct. 2, 1913, in LaCoste, the daughter of John G. and Annie (Zeinert) Koenig. She was a cook and waitress, a member of the Lutheran church and of Hermann Sons. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Richard Stein and Walter Mumme; sons, Leslie Roy and Marlin Stein; daughter, Janice Holland; daughter-in-law, Loretta Stein; and sister, Elsa Koenig. She is survived by her sons and spouses, Malcolm Stein of Biry and Jarvis (Betty) Stein of San Antonio; daughters, Melba (Len) Franke of Sun City West, AZ, and Gailya Tabor of Marion, KY; daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Stein; 17 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, March 1, 10 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hondo, followed by interment at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Castroville.
