Faithful Servant and Loving Mother. Leonie Marie (Fest) Warner, age 101 years, 8 months, and 27 days, of Hondo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 25, 2004. She was born in San Antonio, Texas on November 26, 1902, the daughter of William Martin & Mary (Hoff) Fest. After attending Our Lady of the Lake University she married Albert Julius Warner and had three beautiful children. Leonie dedicated her life to helping her family and those around her. She enjoyed attending church, visiting her very large family, reading, crossword puzzles, and traveling. We will all miss her terribly but will take comfort in knowing that she is finally home. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Albert Julius Warner; daughter: Evelyn Marie Liebbe; daughter-in-law: Dorothy Raye Warner, Mildred Jane Warner, and Evelyn Jennette Warner; granddaughter: Susan J. Tazioli. Leonie is survived by her sons: William A. Warner of Bakersfield, CA, Herbert J. Warner of Hondo; son-in-law: Robert H. Liebbe of Dallas; grandchildren: Peggy Morgan, Nancy Meyers, Penny Luddecke, John Warner, Abigail Duffy, Lucinda Stanford, Paul Warner, Melissa Pope, Robert Liebbe, Jr., Rebecca Rowland, William Liebbe, Richard Liebbe, Charles Liebbe, and Jerry Liebbe; twenty-seven great-grandchildren and nine great-great-grandchildren. The Rosary Service will be at 7:00 pm Tuesday, August 31, and the Funeral Mass will be Wednesday September 1, both services at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo. Pallbearers were: Thomas Meyer, Kyle Meyer, Matt Morgan, Paul Warner, Joey Warner, Jeff Pope. Entombment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, St. John's Mausoleum, Hondo, Texas.
