Leora Jane King of Brenham, Texas, passed away July 4, 2004, at the age of 83 years, 3 months, 28 days. Leora was born on February 6, 1921, to Henry H. & Johanna E. (Boehle) Saathoff in Dunlay, Texas. She was preceded by her parents; brothers: George Saathoff, John Henry Saathoff; sisters: Anna Marie Cruze, Lorine May Schulte. Leora is survived by her sons: Wayne King and wife Linda of Diamondhead, Mississippi, Gene King and wife Jean of Brenham, Texas, Thomas King and wife Sally of Anchorage, Alaska; grandchildren: Rory King of Hollywood, CA, David King and wife Carva of West Point, Mississippi, Debra Rath and husband Matthew of Sealy, Texas, Valerie Hoffpauir and husband Kevin of Sealy, Texas, Carma, Carrie, and Jared King of Anchorage, Alaska; 6 great grandchildren. The Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Wednesday, July 7, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Thursday, July 8, at the Bethleham Lutheran Church, Quihi, Texas. Interment will follow in Quihi Cemetery, Quihi, Texas.
