Leroy A. Arnold Sr. of D'Hanis, Texas, age 76, passed away April 28, 2006, at home, surrounded by his family. He retired in 1994 from his business, Ed Arnold Plumbing and Air Conditioning. They moved to the ranch in 1995 where he loved to hunt and fish with his children and grandchildren. He always had a positive attitude and always had a joke to tell. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward J. & Agnes E. (Moeller) Arnold; daughter Sandra Louise Arnold; brothers, Edward Arnold, Herbert Arnold. He is survived by his wife, Virginia C. Arnold; son, Leroy A. Arnold, Jr. and wife Linda of Hondo; daughters, Denise Kjos and husband Milo of San Antonio, Kathy Arnold of D'Hanis, Mary Whitaker and husband Mike of San Antonio; grandchildren, Amy Salazar and husband Gary, Julie Kipfer, Shawn, Nicholas, Sandra, Brittany, Christopher, and Matthew Kjos; great-grandchildren, Cassie, Annalisa, and Maygan Salazar; sister, Eliane Dole of Saginaw, MI. The Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 30, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis. The Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 1, at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis. The pallbearers were Edward J. Arnold, David M. Simmons, Albert F. Fuessel, Louis Jasek, Al Moeller, Herbert Arnold, Jr. Interment will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the San Fernando Cemetery #2 in San Antonio. The family suggests that memorials be made to the Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis. Leroy, Daddy, Papa has gone fishin'!
