Leroy Horace Britsch, Age 76 years, 6 months, and 18 days, of Hondo, Texas, died on Monday, January 24, 2005. He was born in Hondo, on July 6, 1928, the son of Alvin Louis & Minnie A. (Haby) Britsch. Horace was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Korean War. He was also a former member of the San Antonio Police Department K-9 department. Horace was retired from Hermann Sons Steak House. He was preceded in death by his parents. Horace is survived by his wife Grace Jane (Sekula) Britsch; sons Mark Britsch and wife Frances of San Antonio, Darrell Britsch and wife Cindy of Mico, Bryce Britsch and wife Kimberly of Hondo; 7 grand children; sister Myrna Schneider of San Antonio. The Funeral Mass was at 10:00 am Friday, January 28, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with entombment following in the Hondo Cemetery, St. John Mausoleum. The Funeral Mass was led by Fr. Jeff Pehl. The pallbearers were Rick Kotara, Rodney Kotara, Bobby Britsch, Deny Kotara, Damon McFaden, John Britsch.
