Leroy Erhardt Kunz of Hondo, 78, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018. Born April 18, 1940, in New Braunfels, he was the son of Theodor Casper Kunz and Alma Bertha Meckel Kunz. He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife of 52 years, Bonnie Louise Koch Kunz. He is survived by his son, Kenneth W. "Kenny" Kunz of Hondo; daughter, Donna M. "Scott" Squires of Stephenville; four grandchildren. Rex (Tanya) House, Mathew Squires, Michael (Katie) Squires and Brittany Squires. Visitation will be 10:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, July 7. with a Rosary recited at 11:00 at Holy Cross Catholic Church, followed by Funeral Mass at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery, D'Hanis. The family requests that those wishing to honor Leroy's memory do so with donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, American Cancer Society, or the charity of one's choice.
