Leslie Charles Frank Schlentz age 83, passed away, April 4, 2005. He was born in Hondo, on August 19, 1921, the son of Charles Walter & Lola Alma (Helmke) Schlentz. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife Mildred Evelyn (Besch) Schlentz; son Wayne Schlentz and wife Yumi of Cibolo; daughters Katherine Crenwelge and husband Kenneth of Fredricksburg, Nancy Hayward and husband Aubrey of San Antonio; four grandchildren; brother Alton Schlentz and wife Martha of Hondo. The Funeral Service was be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 7 at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. The casket carriers were Gary S. Halbardier, Clarence Mumme, Jim C. Bailey, Glen R. Schlentz, Glen R. Schlentz, Jr., John C. Scott. Interment followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
