Lillie Ruth Benke of Hondo, Texas, passed away December 6, 2003, at the age of 83. She was born in Whiteflat, TX on March 9, 1920. She was a member of the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Hondo She is preceded in death by her parents: Nathan Allen & Dovie Callie "Dollie" (Zigler) Todd; husband: Gus Augusta Benke; son: Gus Adrian Benke; sister: Margaret Lavay Dillon; brothers: Homer Lee Todd, Jimmie Nathan Todd, Bernice Wellman "Dub" Todd. She is survived by her son: Gary Benke of Hondo; grandchildren: Brandon Benke of Hondo, Sarita Benke of San Antonio, Dodie Miller and husband Mat of Brenham; great grandchildren: Jonathan & Minta Miller of Brenham; sister: Bertha Todd of Abeline. Visitation is scheduled at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday, December 8, 2003. The Graveside Service is scheduled at the Zion Lutheran Cemetery #2 on Tuesday, December 9, in Helotes.
