Linda Nell Schmidt of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on March 27, 2006, at the age of 62, in Hondo. She was born November 18, 1943, in Johnson City, Texas, the daughter of Charles P. & Ruth (Hunnicutt) Haynes. She is preceded in death by her parents. Linda is survived by her husband J. D. Schmidt of Hondo; sons Robert D. Schmidt of Round Mountain, Larry Schmidt and wife Jana of Round Mountain. The visitation was from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home. The Funeral Service, officiated by Pastor Beverly Burk was at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30, at the First United Methodist Church of Hondo. The casketcarriers were Steve Hackebeil, Larry Oefinger, Frank Runnels, Richard Schueling, Wilbur Lindeburg, William Reus, Andrew Simon, Chris Stiegler. Interment followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
