Lois Renee Clewell, age 53, of Hondo passed away Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011. She was born Nov. 30, 1958, in Corpus Christi. She was a homemaker and former newspaper carrier. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Clewell Jr.; daughter, Vici Morine Singleton and husband John of Devine; sons, Joseph Franklin Clewell III of Hondo and Sean James Cooney and wife Ariane of Pennsylvania; five grandchildren, Gavin and Grace Singleton, and Logan, Isabella and Chloe Cooney; parents, Vici (Lippert) and Jim Williams of Hondo; siblings, Mark S. Lambert and wife Elaine of Alabama, Meschelle Nooner of Hondo, Adriene "Shelly" Painter and husband Ben of Castroville and Sean P. Riley of San Antonio; nieces and nephews, Sean Nooner, Connie LaRue, Tina Crow and Jaimi Murphy; and cousin, Sharon Greer. Memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 19, at Cowboy Church in God's Country, Hondo. Service will conclude at the church. The family suggests memorials may be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children-Houston, 6977 Main Street, Houston, TX 77030-3701.
