Lou Ann Love Evans of Devine passed away Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020.

Born in San Antonio, Nov. 23, 1933, she was the daughter of Alexander Hamilton D.H Love and Emma Lillian Owen Love.

Lou Ann was a strong Christian. She spent many years caring for elders in nursing homes in Lytle, Devine and Hondo. She enjoyed reading, working jigsaw puzzzles, Friday nights at Charlie's II and playing 42. Most of all, she loved her family, baking cookies for the grands and great-grands, and sending cards for birthdays and anniversaries.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husbands, Knox Alex Montgomery, Jr. and Lawrence G. Evans, Jr.

Survivors include her sons, K. Alex (Vicki) Evans of Richmond, Robert L. (Anne) Evans of San Antonio and Clifford R. (Melody) Evans of Dilley; daughters, Linda S. Evans of Devine, Agnes Evans (James) Shelton of Homerville GA, and Betty L. Evans of Devine; 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

A private service will be held.

Casket carriers are her grandsons, Walter, Richard, Robet Jr. and Adam Evans, Owen Shelton and Jason Krog. Honorary  bearers are  her granddaughters, Rebecca Dennison, Rachel Zavala, Regina Gillberg, Tamar Cook, Sarah S. Yawn and Katherine Krog.

The family suggests memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Natalia.
