Loyd Adams of D'Hanis, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 17th, 2025, at the age of 85 years.

Loyd was born March 15th, 1940, in Denhawken, Texas, the son of John Wesley Adams and Eva Eunice Coleman Adams.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank Adams, Jesse Adams, Ruben Adams, Hubert Adams; and sisters, Belle Carlson and Roberta Byrd.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 41 years, Sharon Adams; daughters, Twila Hayes (Mike), Gayla Sue Mullens, Stephanie Fay Adams; son, Loyd Scott Adams; stepson, Carl Schoenfeld; stepdaughter, Shelly Kay Schoenfeld-Schott (Anthony); brother, James Adams (Peggy); sister, Joyce Braune; and family friend and caregiver, Maria Olivarez.

Loyd was a proud grandfather to 15 grandchildren, 1 stepgrandchild, 36 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and uncle to numerous nieces and nephews.

Loyd will be remembered for his unwavering love for his wife and family, his love for working, ranching, roping, welding, dancing, family, and his sweet pup, Jack. Family members remember his admonition whenever anyone fell off of anything, he always said, "Get back on it!"  His memory will remain in the hearts of all blessed to have known him.

We will begin gathering at 1:30 at the Church of Christ located at 2302 Ave M, Hondo Texas 7886, with the memorial service commencing at 2:30 on Saturday, June 28, 2025.

Following the Memorial Service, a Celebration of Life for Loyd Adams will be held at the Hermann Sons Life Hall located at  251 Texas Hwy. 173, Hondo.  The Celebration of Life will begin at 4pm. Dinner at 5pm with the celebration ending at 7pm.
