Luisa Garza of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on April 29, 2006, at the age of 87. She was born Jane 21, 1918, in Hondo, Texas, the daughter of Jesus & Guadalupe (Filoteo) Gonzales. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Antonio E. Garza; brothers Francisco F. Gonzales, Felix Gonzales, Felix Gonzales, Marcelo Gonzales, Julian Gonzales; sister Maria Oranday, Heronima Sotello. Luisa is survived by her sons Antonio Garza of Hondo, Juan Garza and wife Irene of LaVernia, Pete Garza and wife Martha of Houston, abelino Garza of Bandera, Jesse Garza and wife Angie of Kerrville, Joe Garza and wife Calistra of Manvel; daughters Eva Morales and husband Henry of Castroville, Linda Martinez and husband John Henry of Hondo; 28 grandchildren, 39 great grandchildren. The Rosary was Monday, May 1, at 7:00 p.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Funeral Mass, was Tuesday, May 2, at 10:00 a.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The pallbearers were Gilbert Garza, Juan Jose Garza, Jr., James Garza, Abelino, Jr. Adney Morales, Jesse Garza, Jr., Danny Garza, Jr., John Henry Martinez, Jr.. Interment followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
