Mable Gladys Allen was born April 9, 1926, in San Angelo, Texas, the daughter of Lee & Frances (Story) Waddell. Mable of Hondo, Texas, passed away August 21, 2003, at the age of 77 years, five months, and 12 days, in San Antonio, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Judy Kay Brown; brothers: Willard, William J., and John L. Waddell. She is survived by her husband: Jesse Doyle "J.D." Allen; son: Elbert Lee Allen and wife Darla of Everett, WA; daughter: Melinda Jean Coleman of Temple; sisters: Dorothy Waddell of Quency, MA, Martha Moore of Augusta, GA, Ann Waddell of Cleburne, Texas; brothers: Bernard Waddell of Tulsa, OK, Phill Waddell of Granbury, Texas. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, August 23, 11:00 a.m., at The Church of Christ in Hondo. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
