Manuel M. Reyes, Jr. age 63, of Hondo passed away Monday, Aug. 10, 2009. He was born May 29, 1946, in Hondo, son of Manuel and Raquel (Mendez) Reyes. He was a heavy equipment operator in road construction. Manuel is preceded in death by his father; brother, Alfredo Reyes; and two infant siblings. He is survived by his mother; his wife, Eva (Benites) Reyes; daughters, Jennifer Reyes and Stephanie Reyes; and two grandchildren, all of Hondo. Also surviving are his brothers and sisters, Maria Tapia and husband Alfredo of Hondo, Alberto Reyes of Louisville, TX, Rosa V. Thompson and husband Don, Jesse Reyes, Martha Muñoz and Alejandro "Alex" Reyes, all of Payette, ID, Juan Reyes and wife Cindy of Utah, Guadalupe Diaz and husband Mario of Hondo, and Antonio Reyes of Payette. Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 13, and Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Interment will be at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
