Manuel Soliz of San Antonio, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 12, 2007, at the age of 60. He was born in Yancey, Texas, March 4, 1947, the son of Manuela Soliz. He is preceded in death by a brother. Manuel is survived by his mother of Yancey; sister, Esther Amador of Yancey; friends, Mark Silva and Irma Valdez both of San Antonio. The Rosary will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday May 15 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 16, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Yancey Cemetery. The pallbearers were Mark Silva, Paul "Chris" Harvey, Gilbert Casillas, Ronnie S. Montes, Jon Henry Flores, Gilbert Moncada, Jesse John Bueno, Joseph Valdez.
