Manuel Garcia Valdez, age 83, passed away on May 29, 2005 in San Antonio. He was born on January 2, 1922, in Mexico, the son of Santana & Juanita (Garcia) Valdez. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Herlinda Maldonado; brother Ramon Valdez. Manuel is survived by his son Ambrosio Valdez and wife Cecilia of San Antonio; daughters Maria Jesus Valdez of Mexico, Hilda Lorena Tellez and husband Jose L. of San Antonio; 10 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brother Jesus Valdez of Mexico. The Rosary was at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, May 30, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel and the Funeral Mass, officiated by Fr. Frank Macias, was at 10:00 am on Tuesday, May 31, at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Pallbearers were Jose Luis Tellez, Jr., Armando Galindo, V, Emmanuel Galindo, Ricardo Gallegos, Jose A. Rodriguez, David Saucedo. Burial followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
