Manuela (Garcia) Rodriguez, age 82, of D'Hanis passed away Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2013. Born in D'Hanis, July 17, 1931, she was the daughter of Aniceto and Martina (Muniz) Garcia. Manuela was a homemaker, a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her parents; granddaughter, Viviana Enriquez; sisters, Pascuala Garcia and Leonarda G. Guerra; and brother, Leandro Muñiz. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Alejo Rodriguez; daughter, Norma Jean Medina and husband Juan of D'Hanis; grandson, Alex Enriquez and wife Elizabeth; great-grandson, Aiden Enriquez, all of San Antonio; brother, Emilio Garcia; and sisters, Paula Treviño, Louisa Alvarez and Blanca Garcia, all of D'Hanis. Rosary at 9:30 a.m. will be followed by the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 7, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will be at San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis. Pallbearers are Andrew Campos, Joe Hernandez, Victor Garcia, Jarred Villa, Marcus Fernandez, A. J. Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, Albert Fernandez Jr., and Derek Villa.
