Margaret Ann Winkler Balderach of Hondo, 78, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 21, 2017. She was born June 27, 1938, at Sturm Hill, daughter of Henry John and Frieda Elisa Koehler Winkler. She is preceded in death by her parents and nephew, Ronald Re Balderach Jr. Survivors are her husband, Rev. Louis Balderach; son, Henry (Ishna) Balderach of San Antonio; brother, Charles (Evelyn) Winkler of Hondo; nieces, Karen (Skip) Longstaff of Mississippi, Lori Bradley of Hondo and Julie (Scott) Barraza of Sandia; brothers-in-law, Walter (Nancy) Balderach Jr. of Kingwood and Dr. Ronald Re (Linda) Balderach Sr. of New Castle PA; and numerous great-nieces and -nephews. Visitation will be Sunday, Feb. 26, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service will be held Monday, Feb. 27, 10 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Interment will follow at Hondo Cemetery, Woodmen of the World Section. The family suggests memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2507 TX Hwy. 97, Pleasanton TX 78064.
