Margarita S. Torres, age 68, passed away on August 17, 2005 in Hondo, Texas. She was born on November 4, 1936, in Hondo, the daughter of Porfirio & Victoria (Ybarra) Sanchez. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother Benito Sanchez, sister Irene Constante. Margarita is survived by her husband Gregorio Torres of Hondo; sons Gregorio Torres, Jr. and Ruben Torres both of Hondo; daughters Norma Gomez and husband Gustavo of Hondo, Diana T. Ybarra and husband Martin of Hondo, Lisa Torres of McAllen; eddie Torres and wife Lisa; 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren; brothers Domingo Sanchez of Hondo, Juan Sanchez of Hondo; sister Carolina Constante of Hondo. The Rosary will be Friday, August 19, at 7:00 p.m. at the St.John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo, and the Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m. at the St.John the Evangelist Catholic Church officiated by Fr. Jeff Pehl. The pallbearers were Jeffrey Sanchez, Manuel Rodriguez, Eric Constante, Ricardo Torres, Guadalupe Martinez, Randy Gomez. Burial will follow in the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
