Maria I. Cortez of San Antonio, Texas, passed away November 7, 2003, at the age of 69. She was born in D'Hanis, Texas on May 4, 1934. She is preceded in death by her parents: Liborio & Ascencion (Tovar) Ibarra; sisters: Olivia Santillano, Elvira Ibarra. She is survived by her husband Francisco V. Cortez of San Antonio; daughter: Adelina Santos and husband Jacinto of San Antonio; son: Joe Cortez and wife Patricia of San Antonio; four grand children and 4 great grandchildren; brothers: Santiago Ibarra of Southgate, MI, Alfredo Ibarra of Lincoln Park, MI; sister: Sulema Martinez of San Antonio. The Rosary was at 7:00 pm Monday November 10, and the Funeral Mass was at 10:00 am Tuesday November 11 both services at Holy Cross Catholic Church in D'Hanis. The pallbearers are: Rafael Adame, Jr., Ricardo Martinez, Adrian Cortez, Candelario Santillano, Alberto Santillano, John M. Martinez. Interment will follow in San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis, Texas.
