Maria Pura Peña de French, age 88, of Hondo passed away Sunday, Nov. 15, 2015. Born in Tlacotalpan, Vera Cruz, Mexico, Oct. 16, 1927, she was the daughter of Cirilo Peña Garcia and Maria Luisa Palma Gonzalez. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother. Mary was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Dr. George French. Survivors include her son, Felipe Zorrilla Peña of Hondo; two grandchildren, Jairo Eduardo Zorrilla Garcia and Berenice Ruby Zorrilla Garcia of Nuevo Laredo, Mexico; and brother, Cirilo Peña Palma of Mexico City. No service is planned.
