Maria de Jesus Sandoval Lopez Alejandrez of Hondo, 57, passed away Friday, Mar. 5, 2021. She was born in Tijuana, Mexico, May 20, 1963.

Maria had a big heart. She enjoyed helping others, especially the less fortunate. She would often offer advice and share her wisdom. She enjoyed cooking and crafting and was devoted to her children and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Jose Luis Lopez; a baby sister; and a granddaughter, Ernestine Thomas.

Survivors include her husband, Arnulfo Alejandrez; daughters, Victoria Hurtado of Fresno CA, Louisa Alejandrez of San Antonio, Linda Alejandrez of Fresno CA, Ernestina Alejandrez of Hondo; sons, Samuel (Theresa) Alejandrez, Arnulfo (Ashley Martinez) Alejandrez and Catarino Alejandrez, all of Hondo; 18 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; and 17 siblings.

Visitation and memorial service will be Thursday, Mar. 11, 4:00 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel.
