Maria De La Cruz Morales age 86, passed away October 19, 2003, in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on July 7, 1917, in McQueeney, Texas, to Anastao and Manuela (Martinez) De La Cruz. Maria was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Salvador De La Cruz, Tomas De La Cruz, Beto De La Cruz; sister: Aurora De La Cruz. She is survived by brothers: Reyes De La Cruz, Jesus De La Cruz; sisters: Jesusa Morales, Guadalupe Lugo, Margarita De La Cruz, and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Tuesday, October 21 at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7:00 pm and the Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10:00 am Wednesday, October 22 at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. The pallbearers were: Jesus Lugo, Jr., Rick Vasquez, Kenneth Grubbs, Manuel DeLeon, Gregorio DeLeon, Robert DeLeon. Arrangements were by Guinn-Horger Funeral Home, Hondo.
