Maria Rodriguez Sarabia, Age 84 years, 9 months, and 25 days, of Yancey, Texas, died on Monday, February 14, 2005. She was born in Yancey, on April 20, 1920, the daughter of Pedro Vargus & Antonia (Castorena) Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Juana Rodriguez, son-in-law: Francisco Pedroza. Maria is survived by her husband Pedro Sarabia of Yancey; daughters Margarita Lacy and husband Richard Black of Colorado, Celia Pedroza of San Antonio, Elisa Tovar and husband Guadalupe of San Antonio, Erlinda Guerrero and husband Jose of Yancey; son Rafail Sarabia of Arizona; 17 grand children, 21 great grandchildren; brothers Damian Rodriguez of Yancey, Pedro Rodriguez of California. The visitation was from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home with a Rosary recited by Joe Mares at 7:00 pm on February 17, 2005. The Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 pm Friday, February 18, at the Immaculate Heart of Catholic Church, Yancey where the services were led by Father Wallis Stiles. The burial will follow in the Yancey Cemetery.
