Marilynn Kay (Biediger) Brucks, age 71, of Hondo passed away Tuesday, Jan. 28, 2014. Born May 6, 1942, in Castroville, she was the daughter of Oscar J. and Pearlie C. (Tschirhart) Biediger. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Herman L. Brucks; and brother, Donald Biediger. Survivors are daughters, Becky Farrer of Alpine and Susan Massey and husband Kenneth of Hondo; son, Steven Brucks of Hondo; and three grandchildren, Brittany Decker and husband Joe of Winter Park FL, Brucks Farrer and Faith Farrer, both of Alpine. Visitation will be Thursday, Jan. 30, 6 to 8 p.m., at the Guinn-Horger Chapel, with the Rosary recited at 7 p.m. Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 31, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section. The family suggests memorials may be made to American Cancer Society or the Medina Healthcare Fund.
