Marion June (Yena) Haas, age 89, of Castroville passed away Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2009. She was born June 1, 1920, in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of Leo F. and Carrie (Posing) Yena. She was a U.S. Civil Service librarian and a rancher. She is preceded in death by her parents; husbands, William F. Koehler and Henry Valentine "Sonny" Haas Jr.; son, William Frederick Koehler Jr.; and stepsons, Ralph L. and Howard L. Haas. She is survived by her brother, Donald Yena and his wife Louise of Castroville. A private graveside service was held Monday, Jan. 4, 2010, at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section with Rev. Stephen Schur of Quihi Bethlehem Lutheran Church officiating.
