Martin Escamilla of San Antonio, age 59, passed away Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, at his home.

Born April 4, 1966, in Brownsville, he was the son of Juan M. and Ignacia Rivera Escamilla.

A cook for many years, Martin was a quiet man, but he loved action games. He also enjoyed running and weight lifting.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Raymundo Abrego.

He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Rendon Escamilla; brothers, Juan Abrego and Jose Escamilla (Lynn); nieces and nephews; and sisters-in-law, Josie Rendon and Delia Sanchez.

Rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 21, at Guinn-Horger Chapel, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
