Martin A. Garcia of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on June 12, 2006, at the age of 97. He was born November 11, 1908, in Hondo, the son of Apolonio & Josefina (Rios) Garcia. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Jesusa (Velasquez) Garcia; brothers Julian Garcia, Cayetanio Garcia; sisters Isabel Peña, Alejandra Garcia, Bruna Hernandez. Martin is survived by his sons Daniel Garcia of Hondo, Martin Garcia, Jr. of Hondo; daughters Antonia Garcia of Hondo, Trine Cuellar of Hondo, Emma Del Toro of Hondo. The Rosary was Wednesday, June 14, at 7:30 p.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. The Funeral Service, was Thursday, June 15, at 2:00 p.m. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church. Burial followed at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
