Mary Isabell "Peaches" (Stamper) Anglin, age 54, of Castroville passed away Thursday, Oct. 24, 2013. Born in Ft. Bragg, NC, Sept. 1, 1959, she was the daughter of Clarence William Jr. and Mary Vernell (Walters) Stamper. Her father preceded her in death. Mary graduated from South San Antonio West Campus and worked at various jobs before starting a family. She was dedicated to raising her family and welcomed her two grandchildren. Survivors are her mother, Mary V. Ferguson, and stepfather, Steven Ferguson of Frederick MD; sons, Thomas Francis Anglin IV and John Joseph Anglin Jr., both of San Antonio; daughter, Stormie Rae Smith of Castroville; two grandchildren, Thomas Francis Anglin V and Jack Hunter Anglin; brother, Victor Wm. Stamper and wife Laurie of Janesville WI; sister, Evelyn Sue Tiseth and husband Rick Salcedo of McKinney; brother, Paul Bryne Stamper of Chantilly VA; and sister, Stephanie Ann Kenney and husband David of Schertz. Gathering will begin at 1 p.m. and a memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel. The family suggests memorials may be made to the National Stroke Association.
