Mary Jo (Wood) Dean, age 87, of Hondo passed away Tuesday, June 5, 2012. Born August 31, 1924, in Tarpley, she was the daughter of William B. and Helen Louisa (Saathoff) Wood. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marvin Dean; brother, Alton Wood; and sisters, Hettie Mitchell and Willie Mae Gerdes. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 8:30 to 10 a.m., Friday, June 8, prior to the 10 a.m. funeral service at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Pallbearers were Robert C. Watkins, Albert Santos, Dwayne Lutz, Kevin Auten, Eddie Kubecka and Ryan Groff. Interment will be at Tarpley Cemetery.
