Mary A. Sanchez of Hondo, 52, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2017. Born in San Antonio, Nov. 5, 1964, she was the daughter of Eduardo and Petra Alaquinez. Mary was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed playing Bingo. She was preceded in death by her father. Survivors include her husband, Tiodoro Sanchez Jr.; mother- and father-in-law who raised her, Maria and Teodoro Sanchez Sr.; mother, Petra Alaquinez; daughters, Brenda (Juan) Rendon, Fallon Rodriguez, and Theodora (Zach) Gomez; son, Billy Jack (Laura) Sanchez; grandchildren she raised, Camilly Sanchez and Billy Jack Sanchez Jr.; eight other grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; and sister, Frances Alaquinez. Visitation will be Friday, Oct. 13, 6 to 8 p.m., with Rosary recited at 7 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral Mass will be Saturday, Oct. 14, 10 a.m., at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery Oakwood Section.
