Mary Rose Sanchez Segrest, age 75, passed away Feb. 21, 2014, in Dallas She was born June 21, 1938, in Hondo, the daughter of Urbano O. and Francisca O. Sanchez. She attended Lockney High School in Lockney. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Rudy Segrest; brothers, Urbano L. Jr., Guadalupe O., and Rosalio O. Sanchez; and sisters, Rosa Arcos, Carmen Felan and Irene Rodriguez. She is survived by her children, Debbie Segrest Morris, Mary Frances, Larry Don, Linda Lu and Christopher McCready; and grandchildren, David Reyes, Elizabeth Widener McCready, Steven McCready and Kristen McCready, Colt and Mandy Morris; 10 great-granchildren; brother, Antonio Sanchez; sisters, Evangeline Clor, Corina McCready, Beatrice Sanchez and Ermelinda McIntosh A memorial service was held in Dallas. Visitation from 1 to 4 p.m. will be at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, June 14, with a Memorial Service to be held at 2 p.m. Her remains will be buried next to her parents at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
