Maurice "Skipper" Blackshear of Houston, Texas, passed away July 17, 2004, at the age of 47 years, 5 months, 28 days. Skipper was born on January 19, 1957, to Dr. Robert Christian & Ella Flora (Ford) Blackshear in Hondo, Texas He was a case manager at Barrett, Burke, Wilson, Castle, Daffin, and Frappier, LLP in Houston. He was preceded in death by his sister: Novella Ann Blackshear He is survived by his mother of Horn Lake, MS; father and his wife Barbara of Houston; brother: Robert Lewis Blackshear and wife Yolanda of Mesquite. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm Friday July 23, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home in Hondo. The Funeral Service will be at 11:00 am Saturday July 24, at the West End Baptist Church in Hondo. Interment will follow at the Cottonwood Cemetery, Hondo, Texas.
