Mauro Rendon Garza, age 83, of San Antonio passed away Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014. Born Feb. 13, 1931, in Hondo, he was the son of Jose L. and Maria Jesusita Rendon Garza, who preceded him in death, as did his wife Pauline "Paula" Sanchez Garza, brother, Clemente, and sisters, Minerva Villa and Maria Gloria Rodriguez. He was a truck driver. He is survived by children, Silvia S. (Manuel) Muñoz, Stella Siller, Sandra (Guy Fuller) Garza, Santiago Garza and Mauricio (Lisa Ramos) Garza, all of San Antonio; seven grandchildren; brothers, Juan and Reynaldo; and sisters, Maria Elena Salcedo, Margie Solis and Frances Brandt. Visitation will be Monday, Nov. 3, 6 to 8 p.m., with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 4, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church with interment following at Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section.
