Merlin Fritz Boehle, Quihi farmer/rancher, passed away Friday, Aug. 12, 2011, at the age of 84. Merlin was born Dec. 5, 1926, the son of Henry Jacob and Lena Barbara (Graff) Boehle. He served in the U.S. Army and worked as a truck driver for Universal Rundle. Merlin was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Henry Boehle; and sister, Lucille Theis. He is survived by his wife, Bernice (Lutz) Boehle, and son, Glenn Boehle. Funeral service will be Tuesday, Aug. 16, 10 a.m., at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Casket bearers will be Milton Theis Jr., Clayborne Boehle, Russell Boehle, Blake Boehle, Jimmy Walch, and Neal Graff. Interment will be at Quihi Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.
