Michael Angelo Rodriguez, age 17, of Hondo passed away Thursday, Apr. 14, 2011, as the result of an automobile accident. He was born Dec. 1, 1993, in San Antonio, the son of Eduardo C. and Lucia (Ramon) Rodriguez. He was a sophomore at Hondo High School. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Maria Elena Chavez. He is survived by his parents; brothers, Matthew, Angel and Ezekiel; sisters, Ashley, Sarah and Victoria; stepbrother, Edward Rodriguez Jr.; stepsister, Teresa Rodriguez; uncle, Ernest Rodriguez, all of Hondo; grandparents, Juan and Blasa Ramon of Boerne; and many aunts, uncles and cousins. A prayer service was held Sunday at the Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service was held at 10 a.m., Monday, Apr. 18, at New Testament Church, Hondo. Pallbearers were Joey Luna, Stephen Garcia, Derrick Alarcon, Edward Rodriguez, Fabian Eschevarria, Felipe Alaniz, Emilio Garza, Isidro R. Garza, Matthew Rodriguez, Alex Alarcon and Ernest Rodriguez. Interment was at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
