Mildred Katherine "Millie" McGowan, age 71, of Hondo passed away Monday, Feb. 27, 2012. Born Jan. 25, 1941, in Smith County, VA, she was the daughter of Paul Edgar and Charmie Mae (Tuell) McGowan, both of whom precede her in death. A radiology technician, she worked about 15 years at Medina Community (now Medina Regional) Hospital. Survivors are her daughter, Jennifer Silvas and husband Roy; grandchildren, Brianna Ybarra, Tyler Silvas and Noah Silvas, all of Knippa; and sister, Agnes Robinson of Florida. Graveside service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Mar. 2, 2012, at Sabinal Cemetery.
