Milton James Ormond found peace with our Lord on Thursday, July 12, 2018, at the age of 89. Born Nov. 26, 1928, at Cabaza, near Runge, he was the son of William Edward Ormond and Hulda Anna Seifert Ormond, former residents of Nordheim. Milton was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed bass fishing at Falcon, Amistad, Medina and Azucar lakes. He was a longtime member of Alamo Bass Club and "retired" with highest honors. Milton also cherished his whitetail hunting at the Boehme Ranch and mule deer hunting in West Texas. He loved his small town Hondo, Texas, where he resided for many years. He is survived by his twin sister, Mildred Orsak of San Antonio, and many nieces and nephews. His three brothers, Harry, Erwin and Wilbert Ormond, predeceased him. Visitation from 9 to 10 a.m. will be prior to the Funeral Mass at 10 a.m., Wednesday, July 18, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 2102 Ave. J, Hondo TX 78861. Interment will follow at Mission Park North Cemetery, 20900 IH 10 West, San Antonio TX.
