Modesto F. Rodriguez III of D'Hanis, 64, passed away Friday, March 10, 2017. Modesto honorably served in the USMC during the mid 1970s. Born Jan. 18, 1953, Elyria, Ohio, he was the son of Modesto II and Julia Flores Rodriguez, who preceded him in death. He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Rodriguez of D'Hanis; sons, Modesto Rodriguez IV, Mark Rodriguez and Marcelo Joe Rodriguez, all of D'Hanis; 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and brothers, Joe F. Todd of Bloomingdale OH, Marcelo (Lisa) Flores of Uvalde and Adrian (Betty) Rodriguez of D'Hanis; sisters, Adelina "Ann" (Abel) Rodriguez of D'Hanis, Gloria (Carlos) Ortega of Uvalde and Estella Boone of Hondo. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. will be Monday, Mar. 13, with a Rosary recited at 7 p.m. at Guinn-Horger Chapel. Funeral service will be at 10 a.m., Tuesday, Mar. 14, at Holy Cross Catholic Church. Interment will follow at San Francisco Cemetery, D'Hanis.
