Monica Flores Garza of Hondo passed away Tuesday, Mar. 29, 2022, at the age of 52.

Born in Hondo, Feb. 25, 1970, she was the daughter of  Miguel Flores, Jr. and Juanita Garcia Flores.

Monica loved roses, music, dancing and singing; collecting purses and Indian porcelain dolls; and anything with cheetah and zebra prints.

She loved her kids and especially loved all her grandkids. She was a lady with a big heart who never said "no" to anyone in need.

Monica was preceded in death by her father, Miguel Flores, Jr., and father-in-law, Ramon Garza, Sr.

Survivors include her mother, Juanita Flores; husband, Ramon Garza, Jr.; sons, Joe Louis Garza and Adam Garza; daughters, Amanda Mendoza (Saul III) and Bobbie Jo Garza (Ray Salazar, Jr.); 18 grandchildren; brothers, Juan Miguel Flores (Lettie) and Monico Flores; and mother-in-law, Petra Garza.

Visitation will be Thursday, Apr. 7, 6 to 8 p.m., at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel, with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00.

Funeral Mass will be Friday, Apr. 8, 10:30 a.m. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, followed by interment at Hondo Cemetery.

Memorial donations in her name would be gratefully accepted.
