Murel Louis "Spud" Murphy, age 73, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2005. He was born on December 11, 1931. He is the son of Elijah Louis & Minnie Helen (Sullivan) Murphy. Spud was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean war. He was preceded in death by his parents. Spud is survived by his wife Trudie (Randolph) Murphy of D'Hanis; sister Cumi Jean Drees and husband Ray of Pleasanton; brothers-in-law Ray Randolph and Chris Sharon of Atlanta, Texas; sisters-in-law Sharon Randolph of Rockport, Linda Keeton of Carbondale, OH; and numerous nieces and nephews. No Services are scheduled. He will be cremated and his ashes scattered. The family suggests that donations be made to the Texas Veterinatian Medical Foundation.
