Naomi Ann Sweatt Frederiksson

Naomi Ann Sweatt Fredriksson of Hondo, 93, passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2026.

Born Aug. 7, 1933, in Pearsall, she was the daughter of Guy A. and Anna Lou Whitehead Sweatt.

Naomi attended school in Lytle and, after getting her nursing certification, served many years as a nurse around the Medina County area. She and the love of her life, Adrian E. Fredriksson, were married March 4, 1977. Together they enjoyed traveling, especially in Colorado, and attending blue grass festivals all over the country. She loved to cook, was a stickler for order, kept a spotless home, and was a member of New Fountain Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Charleah “Gay” Halliburton; and brother-in-law, Harvey Fredriksson.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years; daughter, Patti Dale (A.T.); son, Aubrey Joe Whitley Jr. (Jerri); step-daughter, Adrienne Tidwell; grandchildren, Charleah Villarreal (Felipe), Shawn Whitley, Jason Halliburton, Rebecca Simcox and Joseph Simcox; step-grandchildren, Crystal Alexander, Erika Coleman and Davey Erline Armenta; 15 great-grandchildren; brothers, Guy A. Sweatt and James J. Sweatt; and sister-in-law, Sharon Fredriksson.

Visitation will be Friday, Nov. 6, from 1:00 to 2:00 p,m. at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 p.m. and interment at Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
