Naomi Sue Nelson-Blankenship of Hondo, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 6, 2007, at the age of 82. She was born in Floresville, Texas, February 9, 1925, the daughter of Clarence T. & Sue Athene (Lillie) Carpenter. She is preceded in death by her parents; first husband: Zan Allen Nelson; second husband: Donald Blankenship; brother: C. T. Carpenter. Naomi is survived by daughter: Susanne Reyna and husband Carlos of Austin; grand-daughter Misty Thomas of Washington, DC; sister Joyce Hudson of Springfield, VA. The Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Thursday May 10, at the Guinn-Horger Funeral Home and the Graveside Service, will be at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday May 10, at the Hondo Cemetery, Oakwood Section.
