Nena Lynn Chadwick Wright of Hondo, 66, passed away Friday, March 13, 2026.

Born Aug. 24 1959, in Memphis, TN, Nena has worn different hats throughout her life. From road construction, artist and secretary to head framer at Lackland Air Force Base and a very talented jewelry designer/maker at Ann's Attic. The most important hat Nena wore was that of a mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother. She was stoic and proud as well as caring and compassionate. Nena had a flare for life and a fun, wild side that was contagious and entertaining to watch. She loved hard and fiercely protected her family and friends who were lucky enough to be a part of her life.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Chad Chadwick.

She is survived by her mother, Ann Bowles McDuffie; sister, Vicki Lister (John), all of Hondo, and Cherrie Sinclair (George) of Tennessee; sons, Joseph Norman Schibe III of Pratville, AL, and Joshua Wayne Schibi of Lakehills; grandchildren, Skylar Brook Schibi, Lilith Jade Featherston, Jacob Schibi, Adrian Schibi, David Schibi and Michael Schibi; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Celebration of her life will begin at 1:00  p.m., on Saturday, March 28th, 2026 at Guinn-Horger Funeral Home Chapel after which the celebration will continue at the family home.
