Nettie Virginia "Ginger" Tondre of Hondo, Texas, passed away April 27, 2004, at the age of 85. Ginger was born on January 18, 1919, to John Marcus & Frances Ellen (Murphy) Fusselman in Hondo. Ginger was co-owner and manager of Tondre Transfer & Storage. She taught Sunday school for 49 years at the First Baptist Church in Hondo. She was preceded by her parents; husband: Charles C. Tondre and daughter & son-in-law: Sherrie P. & Jeff Wren; granddaughter: Angie Mercer, sisters: Glee Hope Woolls, Caro Grace Robertson, Jerry eth Kollman, Ivy Jean "Billie" Ward; brother: Jack Murphy Fusselmann. She is survived by her son Charles A. "Chuck" Tondre and wife Laurie of Hondo; daughters: Linda Mercer and husband Sidney of Seguin, Dianne Graff and husband Fred of Hondo, Judy Hardy and husband John of New Braunfels; 14 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; sister: Gladys Cecile Cappadona of Galveston. The Funeral Service will be at 2:00 pm Saturday May 1, at the First Baptist Church of Hondo. Pastor Preston Taylor led the services. The casket carriers were: Chaz Wren, Will Wren, Jess Wren, Kiley Hardy, Cody Tondre, Doug Mercer, David S. Mercer, Freddie Graff, and Robby Graff. Interment will follow in Hondo Cemetery, WOW Section.
