Nicolasa Hernandez age 84, passed away January 22, 2004. She was born on September 10, 1919, in Hondo, Texas, to Lorenzo and Placida (Moreno) Hernandez. Nicolasa married Guadalupe Hernandez November 9, 1946. Her husband Guadalupe died on September 27, 2003. She was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Santos Hernandez, Francisco Hernandez; sister: Belan Arnold. She is survived by her sons: Armando Hernandez and wife Dora of Frisco, Samuel Hernandez and wife Lydia of Celina, Carlos Hernandez and wife Oralia of Hondo; daughters: Dora Gaitan and husband Robert of San Antonio, Esmeralda Carreon and husband Jesse of San Antonio, Elsa Santos and husband Richard of Kokomo, Ind., Olga Rodriguez and husband Richard of San Antonio; brothers: Tomas Hernandez of San Antonio; sisters: Concha H. Moreno of Idaho Falls, Idaho, Ventura Hernandez of Hondo, Minerva Sanchez of Boise, Idaho; 19 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. The Rosary is scheduled for Monday, January 26, at 7:00 p.m. and the Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, January 27, at 2:00 p.m., both at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hondo with burial following at the Hondo Cemetery, Guadalupe Section. The pallbearers are: Lori Sotelo, Anna Rodriguez, Belinda Gaitan, Priscilla Plake, Rosie Holguin, Janelle Carreon, Desirae Martinez, Mary Gaitan. Honorary Pallbearers are: Joshua Carreon, Chris Hernandez, Robert Gaitan, Sammy Hernandez.
